What families usually ask before joining the waiting list
For children aged 3 to 7. Stories are written for the age you set in the profile: short sentences, one new word in every story and a calm ending.
Not yet: the board is in pilot. If you join the waiting list we'll let you know when units are available. The expected price is between €99 and €129, to be confirmed with the first production run.
No. The child only places figures and presses a button; the board neither listens nor watches.
Only what you enter in your portal, and all of it is optional: a name or nickname, approximate age, language and themes. Without a name, stories don't say it. To write and narrate a new story, that information is shared with our AI providers (Anthropic for the text and ElevenLabs for the voice), as the privacy policy explains.
Catalogue stories are reviewed by a person before they play. New stories generated for your child play on their board and our team can review and remove them; you can also delete any of them from your portal.
The story catalogue and every board setting (volume, light, daily stories, bedtime) are free. The subscription, €4.99 a month or €39.99 a year, adds 15 new stories a month on each board, with your child's name, age and themes. Cancel any time from the portal.
The first time, the board creates a network called “GrowTales-Config” by itself (the ring flashes white). Connect from your phone, pick your WiFi and save. It only works with 2.4 GHz networks. Then scan the QR code on the box to link it to your account. To change network later, hold the button for 2 seconds while switching it on.
If you've turned on new stories and have credits, the board makes one up. If not, it tells the story of the largest group of those figures that has one, or tells the child that combination is new and to try another.
